With the InteliChart Patient Portal, the patients of Alegent Health will be able to use a single portal to communicate securely with their physicians, as well as access their personal health record (PHR). Alegent Health conducted a year-long search for a patient portal with the expectation that the portal could continuously enhance the care experience for patients and families through the use of technology that provides value to the patient without additional patient cost, and will continue to improve the quality of care delivered.
The new patient portal will allow Alegent Health’s patients to pre-register, request appointments and create their own appointments directly on line. Patients will also be able to request prescription refills, view and pay statements online, complete medical forms, receive results and other pertinent, patient-specific health information.
