  • The Price of EHR Security

    A recently released annual study of security/privacy in healthcare reported that more than 91% of U.S. healthcare providers polled have had their electronic healthcare systems breached, and that over the past five years, the number of data breaches has increased by 125%. This is a huge increase over previous years. Even worse, for the first time, cybercriminal activity accounts for the majority of the breaches, as opposed to breaches being the result of employee curiosity or negligence.
