  • Can patient portals improve physicians’ lives and lower the cost of healthcare?

    Much is being written about the misery physicians experience in their professional lives, due, in large part, to burdensome post-encounter paper work (e.g., insurance forms, regulatory reports, prescription approvals, and more.) For example, a recent article in The Daily Beast titled “How Being a Doctor Became the Most Miserable Profession” states that “nine of 10 doctors discourage others from joining the profession, and 300 physicians commit suicide every year.”
